Recipes by State
This list is made up of traditional recipes that have been disassembled and reconfigured in the style of BIR (British Indian Restaurant) curries.... Many of the BIR curries on this site cannot be attributed to any particular area of India, Bangladesh or Pakistan as they are not derived from traditional recipes but are creations of a particular Indian restaurant. In other cases their origins are uncertain or cannot be determined with any certainty. Additionally many traditional recipes do not translate successfully into BIR style or do not offer anything very different and therefore are not worthy of including. It is actually very difficult to get recipes from the 'empty' states and where they do exist they are not usually in English, but the search goes on.
