Goochi Mattar
Ingredients
For 1
150 gm button mushrooms (Goochi)
100 gm frozen peas (Mattar)
1 tbspn oil
100 ml
Masala Sauce
¼ tspn salt
¼ tspn turmeric
¼ tspn ground cumin
¼ tspn hot chilli powder
¼ tspn fenugreek
¼ tspn garam masala
1 tspn fresh coriander
Preparation
Rinse and thickly slice the mushrooms.
Rinse the frozen peas in hot water and drain.
Cooking
Heat some oil in a wok.
Add the mushrooms and cook over a medium heat for 3 min.
Add the peas and cook for 5 min.
Add the masala sauce, stir, and bring to a simmer.
Stir in the salt, turmeric, cumin and chilli powder.
Turn the heat down to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 min, adding a little water as necessary.
Stir in the fenugreek and garam masala and simmer for 5 min.
Serving
Stir in the chopped coriander and serve with rice or naan bread.
