Char Siu

This recipe was inspired by Khoan Vong


For 1 Continued...
1 pack pork loin steaks ½ tspn black pepper
5 tbspn hoisin sauce ½ tspn Chinese 5 spice
1 tspn salt touch of red food colouring (optional)
1 tspn sugar runny honey to glaze
2 tspn cornstarch  


Cooking - 50 mins

  1. Place the pork loins onto a rack and roast in the pre-heated oven for 30 min.
  2. Turn the pork loins over and continue to roast for another 20 min.
  3. Remove from the oven and glaze with the runny honey, then set aside to cool.
  4. When cool cut the loins into about 1 cm wide and 5 cm lengths.
  5. This will be sufficient for 2 portions and can be refrigerated for a few days or frozen for future use.
