BBQ Sauce

Many versions of this can be found, but this combines the typical ingredients with a couple of 'twists'.


For 1 Continued...
1 tbspn tomato purée (see note 1) 1 tspn Worcestershire sauce
1 tbspn water (see note 1) 1 tspn cider vinegar
1 tspn sugar (see note 1) 1 tspn dried oregano
2 tspn dark soy sauce pinch of ajwain seeds (optional - see note 2)



(1) The tomato purée, water and sugar combination can be replaced with 2 tbspn of tomato ketchup.
(2) The ajwain seeds are also known as lovage and need to be used in small amounts as they are very very powerfully flavoured and can easily overpower the sauce.
