C41 Vindaloo Spice Mix


Spice Mix Continued...
4 parts coriander seeds 1 part ground cinnamon
2 parts cumin seeds 1 part fenugreek powder
2 parts black mustard seeds 1 part cayenne pepper or hot chilli powder
1 part black peppercorns 1 part turmeric
1 part cardamom seeds  



Choose a measuring spoon that will be equal to 1 part such as 1 tspn, ½ or ¼ tspn.
Then combine the ingredients using this basic measurement.

Ground coriander and ground cumin can be used but using seeds is better.

This spice mix owes a lot to the more traditional style, but helps to differentiate the vindaloo from a 'hotted up' Madras.
